Softlink IC was proud to participate in the 54th SCALL Institute, held February 20–21, 2026 at the Riviera Resort & Spa in Palm Springs, California. This year’s institute theme was, “Tribal and Federal Indian Law: Practice and Policy”.
In 2020, many special libraries were still operating primarily on-site. Digital collections existed, but they were often small or siloed, and often loosely connected to wider organizational systems.
In this spotlight, we’re featuring one of our Software Developers, Ben, who joined Softlink IC in early 2024. Ben works across our library and research management products, where a big part of his role is building new features that help keep our software practical, reliable, and easy to use. Known for his problem-solving approach and dry sense of humor, Ben is an important part of the development team.
Today, most special libraries and archives aren’t taking full advantage of their current library management systems. Not because the tools aren’t there, but because it’s time consuming to explore everything between daily tasks like urgent research requests, maintaining compliance, or supporting internal projects.
Artificial intelligence is no longer experimental in libraries. It already supports search, discovery, metadata creation, content analysis, and user services.
Welcome to the third instalment of our rollout series! If you’ve been following along, you’re now well on your way to a successful library system transition.
