Solo librarians juggle multiple roles, balancing marketing, support, research, and library management.
In a world driven by technology, artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing industries, including libraries, information centers, and research teams. While AI streamlines processes, enhances accuracy, and delivers analytics, it also introduces challenges such as data privacy concerns, bias, and the risk of over-reliance on technology. Remember before using AI in your library, information or research center, check your organization’s policies and guidelines, especially when working with sensitive data.
Solo librarians juggle multiple roles, balancing marketing, support, research, and library management. While balancing all of this, how can you transform your library into a dynamic, engaging hub? This blog recaps some of the practical strategies we covered in a recent webinar that will make your library irresistible.
SWITCH 2024, held November 12–15 at the Opal Cove Resort in Coffs Harbour, marked an exciting milestone for AIT, now part of Softlink Information Centers. This was the first public library conference since joining Softlink IC, providing a unique opportunity to introduce the combined strengths of AIT and Softlink IC to the public library community.
Softlink Information Centers has acquired Aurora Information Technology (AIT), a respected developer of public and special library software founded in the 1990s. AIT's team and products will now be part of Softlink, expanding its range of solutions without impacting current support or service for Liberty, Liberty Digital, or illumin customers.
We are proud to announce Softlink Information Centers has been selected as a finalist in the 2024 Engage Awards for Best Customer Service Team! This recognition highlights our customer service team’s commitment to delivering top-notch support and service to our clients.
